Introduction
The Lord said in Amos 3:7-8,
"The
Lord GOD will do nothing, but he reveals his secret unto his servants the prophets. The
lion hath roared, who will not fear? the Lord GOD hath spoken, who can but
prophesy?"
If you
are like me, I was taught that when the last Apostle died and those that they
laid their hands on, all the gifts of the Holy Spirit stopped because we now
have the written word and all we have to do is to be obedient and follow the
written word.
This
scripture denies that theory. Today the Lord is speaking very plainly through
His prophets and as Peter said in 2 Peter1:19-21,
"We have also a more sure word of
prophecy;
whereunto you do well that you take heed, as unto a light that shines in a dark
place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no
prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old
time by the will of man:
but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Ghost."
Paul talked about this in 1 Cor. 14:29,
"Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge."
Prophecy given today is to be judge by those who hear it. If we have learned to hear the voice of the Lord we will know if the prophecy's are of God because the Holy Spirit dwells within us and He will bare witness to us. Paul said in Rom. 8:16,
"The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:"
We are living in the last days Jesus spoke of in Matt. 24 when the disciples ask Him,
"Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?"
That word 'world' should have been interpreted 'age. Jesus said in Matt 24:5-8,
"For many
shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And
you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that you be not troubled: for
all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there
shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
All these are the
beginning of sorrows."
There is a lot of things going on
in The United States right now and there are evil spirits being manifested in
our government and in our country. In the following chapters I want to make you
aware of just some of these thing that are going on so you will be able to
discern them for yourself.
