Chapter 24

Palm 118:24 says,

"This is the day which the LORD has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it!"

Paul said in Rom. 10:15,

"How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!"

That was a quotation from Isaiah 52:7, (NIV)

"How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, "Your God reigns!"

We sing a song at church about this scripture! It says,

How lovely on the mountains are the feet of them who brings good news! Our God reigns!

Out from the tomb He came with grace and majesty, He is alive, He is alive, God loved us so He pierce his hands, His feet, His side. Yet we know He is alive!

Soon the whole world will know that Jesus is alive when He pours out His Spirit on all flesh! Multitudes will bow at the feet of His Church which is His spiritual body and confess that He is Lord!!

What a time to be alive and be a witness of this great event. We serve a risen Savor who has all authority in heaven and in earth and there is no greater power in all of the earth.

The darker it gets on this earth, the brighter will His Church shine. Darkness has no power over light! Jesus said in Matt. 5:14,

"You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid."

I have been sharing with you about the fire of God that is about to be released. Notice what the Great Apostle Paul had to say about this in 2 Cor. 3:7-18,

"Now if the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory, transitory though it was, will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious? If the ministry that brought condemnation was glorious, how much more glorious is the ministry that brings righteousness! For what was glorious has no glory now in comparison with the surpassing glory.

And if what was transitory came with glory, how much greater is the glory of that which lasts! Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold. We are not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face to prevent the Israelites from seeing the end of what was passing away. But their minds were made dull, for to this day the same veil remains when the old covenant is read. It has not been removed, because only in Christ is it taken away. Even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts. But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit."

The glory of the lord was described as a cloud in Solomon's temple. It was so awesome that the priests could not minister. Moses stood before the burning bush and when he came down to the people, he had to cover his face with a veil to prevent the Israelites from seeing the end of what was passing away. However, when the time was right, Jesus arrived on the scene and began to reveal the Father and the thoughts of our Father. Now, when someone comes to the Lord, there is no need for a veil because the time is right for all to know the mystery of the gospel of Christ!

Notice, Paul said that we are being transformed into His image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit! This fire that is about to be poured out by the Holy Spirit is none other than the presence of our Father! At His presence, every knee will bow by the millions, and acknowledge Him as Lord to the glory of the Father!

As His spirit is poured out upon all flesh, revival will not occur in just a few places but it will spread over all the earth and the earth shall be filled with the Knowledge of the glory, (presence) of the Lord! (Hab. 2:19) Then we will see Rev. 21:1-5 come to pass,

"Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Look! God's dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God."

And Rev. 21:9-11, (NIV)

"One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and said to me, "Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb." And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God. It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal.

Notice that the bride and the wife of Christ is the same as the Holy City of God. This explains what Jesus was talking about in John 14:2,

"In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you."

My prayer for you is that the eye of your spirit might be opened so you can see that this City of God is made up of people and that you are a part of that City. I pray that you might be able to see that the mansions that Jesus went to prepare is you. This temple is made up of all God's children and you are a part of that temple that He has constructed as a dwelling place where He can rule and reign forever

Notice that the Bride of Christ shone with the glory of God, and her brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal.

Paul said in Eph. 5:27,

"That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish."

A very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal and without blemish! A jasper stone in our day, is a diamond. A pure diamond without blemish!

Peter said in 1 Peter 2:4-7,(NIV)

"As you come to him, the living Stone, jected by humans but chosen by God, and precious to him,you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

For in Scripture it says: "See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame."

Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe, "The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,"

The words, bride, city, mansions, stones are metaphors to describe to us Spiritual realities. A metaphor is a figure of speech in which a word or phrase is applied to an object or action to which it is not literally applicable. Example, "Bill is an early bird," "Her eyes were diamonds." It is difficult to explain, without the help of the Holy Spirit, things in the spiritual realm so metaphors are used to give us some idea what it is like. Unfortunately, so many bible scholars take these metaphors as littoral without looking for the spiritual meaning. For example,

We sing about walking the streets of gold. In the holy city of God there is only one street and it signifies one walk or one way!

The fire of the Lord that is coming will purge us and burn out of our lives everything that is not of the Lord and then we will shine forth as beacons in this world and all shall see the glory of the Lord our brother and our Father!

Daniel 7:9-11 said,

"As I looked, thrones were set in place, and the Ancient of Days took his seat. His clothing was as white as snow; the hair of his head was white like wool. His throne was flaming with fire, and its wheels were all ablaze.

A river of fire was flowing, coming out from before him. Thousands upon thousands attended him; ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him. The court was seated, and the books were opened. "Then I continued to watch because of the boastful words the horn was speaking. I kept looking until the beast was slain and its body destroyed and thrown into the blazing fire.

Phil. 2:15-16,

"That you may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom you shine as lights in the world; holding forth the word of life!"

The good news is that our God reigns and that what He promised has come to pass!

Heb. 8:10-13 says,

"For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: And they shall not teach every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. In that he says, A new covenant, he has made the first old. Now that which decayed and waxes old is ready to vanish away."

Those of you who are legalist will say to me, 'Well, David, He was talking to the House of Israel and not to us!" Paul said in Rom. 2:28-29, (NIV)

"A person is not a Jew who is one only outwardly, nor is circumcision merely outward and physical. No, a person is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code. Such a person's praise is not from other people, but from God."

Speaking of Abraham, Paul said in Rom. 4:20-24,

"He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. And therefore, it was imputed to him for righteousness.

Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification."

Abraham was not a Jew! He was Judah's grandfather. The Jew's came into existence when The House of Judah separated from the House of Israel, (The Ten Tribes of Israel.)

Paul said in Rom. 11:33-36,

"O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! For who has known the mind of the Lord? or who has been his counsellor?
Or who has first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?
For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory forever. Amen.

A good friend of mine, Kelley Varner, taught a series on The Twelve Tribes of Israel and it opened the whole Bible up to me and the purpose of our Lord. He covers what the names of the Twelve Tribes mean and what the arrangement of the stones on the high priest breastplate, which represented each tribe, means and what the spiritual meaning of each of the stones is.

I highly recommend that you take the time and read it. It can be found on my website www.rejoicinglifeministries.com. Just scroll down the list of subjects to The Twelve Tribes of Israel.
