Dave: You asked for a biography. Here it is......

June 26th will mark 37 years of being married to the same woman. That's a remarkable achievement for me, given that nothing else has ever lasted anywhere near that long. Judi and I just seem to work well together. She has her strong points and I have mine. We both still work, mostly because we like doing what we do. Judi is one of the most knowledgeable immigration specialists in Maryland, and assists several law firms in filing complicated cases with the federal government. I've owned and managed my own small telecommunications company since leaving employment in the U.S. House of Representatives in 1985. We've lived in Maryland since shortly after we were married, save for two years "relaxing" in Florida. We presently live in Pasadena, Maryland, in the heart of the Baltimore/Washington/Annapolis triangle.

In our earlier lives, we both worked in the United States Congress, which is where we met nearly 40 years ago. We each worked on the congressional staff of several Members of Congress over the years. I was also on the professional staff of the House Committee on Armed Services in the late 1970s. In 1982, Judi joined President Ronald Reagan's staff and stayed there for the balance of his presidency.

Military? Yep, I did that. Enlisted in 1962 in West Virginia Army National Guard, graduated from OCS in 1964, stayed active until 1978, when a hearing disability forced me out. Today, I'm retired from U.S. Army Reserve, grade of Captain, and stay active in military organizations.

Together, Judi and I have five (1, 2, 3, 4, 5!) children, running in age from 53 down to 35, several grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. They live about everywhere but Maryland: New Jersey, California, Minnesota, Washington, Oregon, Virginia, Michigan......well, you get the point! Our long-range goal is to someday retire, sell our house, buy a motor home, then visit the children, grandchildren, etc., one by one. When one kicks us out, we'll head on to the next one on the list. Ain't life GREAT?!! But for me, "home" is still where the heart is, and that's Parkersburg!!
