The Twelve Gates Of The Holy City
Chapter Nineteen
(The Twelfth Gate of The City,
Benjamin)
Gen.
35:16 says,
"And they journeyed from
Bethel, and had but a little way to
come to Ephrath, when Rache suffered the
pangs of childbirth and had hard labor.
When she was in hard labor, the
midwife said to her, `Do not be afraid;
you shall have this son also.' And
as her soul was departing, for she
died, she called his name Benoni (son of
my sorrow) but his father called him
Benjamin (son of the right hand). So Rachel
died and was buried on the way
to Ephrath, that is, Bethlehem."
When
Benjamin came forth it fulfilled Joseph's name, he shall add another son. In
Gen. 32 we have read where God told Jacob that his name shall be called Israel.
But all the way through Chapter 33 and 34 he was still called Jacob. But as
soon as Rachel died, that which he loved. It is said, "As her soul was
departing". As soon as that soulish realm is dealt with we shall rule as
God. (Israel)
We
started this book with Reuben which means `Behold a son'. It is a long way from
`Behold a son' to the position of `Son of my right hand'. In bringing Benjamin
forth, Rachel the free woman, the Church, travailed. In Rev. 12:2 it says of
that woman; She travailed in birth and pain to be delivered. It is going to
cost the Church some travail to bring forth Benjamin. It is going to cost the
Church her soul. The soul has got to depart in order for Benjamin to be born.
They were on their way to Ephrath which means fruitful. God is going to have
some fruit, and out of that fruit, He is going to have a travailing Church.
There
was in this passage a mid-wife who could prophesy. She said, "You shall
have this son also." There is going to be a many membered man in the
earth. He will have the nature and the image and the ministry and the anointing
of Jesus Christ and will do greater works. He didn't say more works, He said
greater works. He didn't say you would do it through radio or television. He
said greater works than these. The word shall be made flesh and Benjamin will
come forth; the son of my right hand, and Rachel shall die.
Gen.
42:3 says,
"Then ten of Joseph's
brothers went down to buy grain from Egypt.
But Jacob did not send Benjamin, Joseph's
brother, with the others, because he was
afraid that harm might come to him."
Do
you want to know where this Benjamin company is? Hidden with the Father. In the
words of Rev. 12, they are in the womb of the Church. The father has them
preserved and hidden. Their names are not flashing across the markers of civic auditoriums
around the nation. Most people haven't even heard of them. Like John the
Baptist was kept hidden on the back side of the desert until the time was
right, these are being preserved and hidden by the Father until His time is
right.
Gen.
42:20 says,
"But you must bring
your youngest brother to me, so that your
words may be verified and that you
may not die. This they proceeded to do."
The
one who will be a full brother to Jesus' purpose, is to verify the word and to
preserve life. Like Joseph, Benjamin is one who preserves live. Why did
Joseph's brothers suddenly become so obedient? Because Joseph gave them no
other alternative. He said, "Boys if you want to live; you can't survive
without Benjamin" He is your only hope.
There
are a lot of people who will tell you that they just can not wait to see the
face of Jesus. I declare to you that in this age you will never see the face of
Joseph until Benjamin and Joseph come together. Benjamin will get the woman
ready. She isn't to meet Joseph yet. God is going to have a ministry that is
going to go ahead and prepare the bride to meet her husband.
Gen.43:1
says,
"Now the famine was
still severe in the land. So when
they had eaten all the grain they
had brought from Egypt, their father said to
them, `Go back and buy us a little
more food.' But Judah said to him, the
man warned us solemnly, `You will not
see my face again, unless your brother is
with you.'"
You
will never see the face of Joseph unless Benjamin is with you. The Church as a
whole does not want to hear this message. The message I am bringing to you in
this chapter is a dream I have had, and I am not talking to half brothers. What
I am saying to you is that you will not see Jesus coming again until you see
Benjamin brought forth among his brothers. Without this Benjamin ministry the
Church will never see his face and even those who have died and are in the
presence of Jesus will not be made perfect. (Heb. 11:40)
The
reason that I can no longer play the charismatic games is because I am on my
way to the land of Cannan carrying the bones of Joseph. When Moses came to the
Red Sea, he had a coffin full of bones that had more faith than the whole crowd
of people he led out.
Gen
43:29 says,
"As he looked about
and saw his brother Benjamin, his own
Mother's son, he asked, `Is this your
youngest brother, the one you told me about?'
and he said, `God be gracious to
you, my son,' Deeply moved at the sight
of his brother, Joseph hurried out and
looked for a place to weep. He went
into his private room and wept there."
Joseph
knew Benjamin when they met. He was so moved when he saw the joy he had died
for. The joy that had been set before him that he might be the firstborn among
many brethren. When he recognized that, he had to go into his chambers and weep.
Benjamin did not know Joseph when they first met. We who have been apprehended
for this Benjamin ministry have not fully recognized Joseph.
There
remains only one thing we need. Gen 44:1 says,
"Now Joseph gave these
instructions to the steward of his house,
`Fill the men's sacks with as much
food as they can carry and put each
man's silver in the mouth of his
sack. Then put my cup, the silver one,
in the mouth of the youngest one's
sack; along with the silver for his grain.'"
There
is only one thing we must experience before we fully recognize our elder
brother. His cup in our sack. Why is it a silver cup? First of all I am
redeemed. The silver cup in the sack of Benjamin points to the redemption of
the body.
King
Saul began the natural kingdom and Saul of Tarsus gave revelation of the
spiritual kingdom. Both of them were of the tribe of Benjamin. Is there a
silver cup in your sack? Is there something within you that will actually cause
you to come into this redemption of the body that you might stand before all
creation and deliver them? There will come a ministry that will recognize fully
their older brother.
In
Gen. 43:34, Joseph sat his brothers down at the table and fed them. Benjamin
received five times as much as his brothers. Jesus said, "It is My meat to
do the will of My Father." Benjamin's ministry is five fold, and will do
the will of the Father. Benjamin is the anointed Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist,
Pastor, and Teacher all in one.
In
Gen. 45:22-23, Joseph gave his brothers new clothing, but to Benjamin he gave
three hundred shekels of silver and FIVE sets of clothing. There are five
ministry gifts to the Church that are going to lead us through change, after
change, after change or raiment, until we are all clothed with immortality.
David
used five stones and each of them were giant killers. There are five giants in
our lives; our five senses.
Gen.
49:27 says,
"Benjamin shall ravin
as a wolf; In the morning he shall
devour the prey, and at night he
shall divide the spoil."
Jesus
and Satan are described as being both a serpent and a lion. The wolf is fierce.
God is going to have a Benjamin ministry that is going to tear up everything
man has produced. This is going to make a lot of people angry. In the morning
of this new day he is going to devour a message and a prey. And in the evening,
while everyone else is saying `The night is coming when no man shall work',
Benjamin is saying, `Praise God! This is my shift.'
Isaiah
60: 1-2 says,
"Arise! Shine! For
the glory of the Lord has risen
upon thee. For behold darkness shall cover
the earth and thick darkness is over the
people, but the Lord rises upon you
and His glory appears over you."
Benjamin
was born in the number twelve position, and was the ninth stone on the
breastplate. The stone was an amethyst. Benjamin was the only son born unto
"Israel". (Prince with God) Joseph was the end of the old nature and
now Benjamin has come forth in the new nature.
Now,
Let's go back to where we started in Rev. 21. Every gate has been a pearl. If
you want to be a part of those who will be called the "Son of His Right
Hand", it will cost you something. Rev. 21:22 says,
"I did not see
a temple in the City, because the Lord
God Almighty and the Lamb are its
temple. The city does not need the sun
or the moon to shine on it, for
the glory of God gives it light, and
the Lamb is its lamp. The nations
will walk by its light and the kings
of the earth will bring their splendor
into it.."
At
evening, Benjamin will divide the spoils. Jesus went in and bound the strong
man and now all that is left is for us to spoil his house. Benjamin has spoiled
the house of the evil one. Like the man child of Rev. 12. He has been caught up
to God and His throne but satan has come down and his house has been spoiled.
God
is preparing a ministry to equip the Church to completely put the evil one
under her feet. This Benjamin ministry is going to divide the spoil from the
victory Jesus has already won. There is only one thing remaining as I see it,
and that is to get His cup in our sack. Will you take His cup into your sack?
Can
you imagine the reproach Benjamin had when they discovered Joseph's cup in his
sack? Don't you figure his brothers thought they would be killed? Can't you
just see them blaming Benjamin? And he tells them, "I didn't have a thing
to do with it."
There
is a cup in my sack and I did not have anything to do with putting it there. It
was not because I was obedient, or faithful, or because of my service to the
Body of Christ. My elder brother put it there to draw me and my half brothers
back to him. He didn't tell me and he didn't ask me for my permission, he just
put it there and all my brothers are wanting to kill me. I cannot help it if I
had the same mother He had. Our mother was a free woman who was over shadowed
by the Holy Spirit. And like my older brother, someday, I will stand and say;
"You meant this for evil but God meant it for good."
If
His cup is not in my sack, we would starve to death. That cup is what is going
to call me and my half brothers back to Him, so He can reveal Himself fully to
us.
